Special dog show rate of $104/night plus a one-time non-refundable dog fee of $45.00

 

RESERVATION: need to be made by September 1, 2008, Contact the Hotel directly for reservations.  Reservations are being held under the Glen of Imaal Terrier Club of America.

 

The hotel only had a few double rooms, but a cot may be added to King rooms for a cost of $10/night with advance notification, $15/night upon arrival.

CATALOG ADVERTISING: (use enclosed form)

Kathy Georgianna  (georgiannak@prodigy.net) will be the advertising contact. For a full page ad with photo cost is $70.00. Half page with photo is $40.00.  Each additional photo is an additional $10.00.  Send Kathy a rough layout of what you want and good quality photos with your name on the back.  If you want to design your own ad contact Kathy about which formats are acceptable.  If you opt to do your own design, a computer disk must accompany the hard copy. No commercial ads allowed.  Late fees will be added for any ad submitted later than, August 24th, 2008.

 

Ads and payment must reach Kathy by August 15, 2008.  Please allow extra time if proofing is necessary.  Make checks payable to GITCA and send to:

There will be Obedience Trial Classes in addition to all regular classes.   Three All Terrier Agility trials will be held on October 1, 2, & 3, 2008, contact Denise Thomas, Event Secretary countrysideas@aol.com for more information. 

 

 The National Earthdog test will be held on October 6, 2008, contact John McNabney, Event Secretary jmcnabney@snet.net

 

2008 GITCA NATIONAL SPECIALTY

Judge: Mr. John P. Wade

Entry Fee:      $25.00 (Adult dog first entry, $22 as an additional entry)

                        $17.00 puppy classes as a first entry

                               

Classes:  Puppy 6-9 months, Puppy 9-12 months, 12-18 months, Novice, American Bred, Bred by Exhibitor, Open, Working Terrier, Veteran, Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Brace and Best of Breed.

All entries in Regular Classes must be intact dogs

 

2008 GITCA PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES:

The Glen of Imaal Terrier Club of America Sweepstakes is open to all Glen of Imaal Terriers 6 months of age and under 18 months.  All entries in Puppy Sweepstakes must be entered in a Regular Class at this show. Champions of Record are not eligible to compete.  Entries shall be made on the same form as for the Regular classes.  Indicate “Sweepstakes” and the age division in the space. This information is offered for the convenience of GITCA exhibitors.

Judge: Mr. Robert Paust                                                                 Entry Fee: $10.00

Sweepstakes classes are as follows classes divided by sex: Puppies 6 months and under 9 months, Puppies 9 months and under 12 months, Juniors 12 months and under 15 months, and Juniors 15 months and under 18 months.

The money received from the entries in Sweepstakes will be distributed as follows:

First Prize 40%         Second Prize 30%    Third Prize 20%        Fourth Prize 10%     

2008 GITCA VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES:

The Glen of Imaal Terrier Club of America Veteran Sweepstakes is open to all Glen of Imaal Terriers 7 years of age and older, intact or neutered.  Entries in Veteran Sweepstakes DO NOT need to be entered in a Regular Class at this show.  Champions of Record are eligible to compete.  Entries shall be made on the same form as for the Regular classes.  Indicate “Sweepstakes” and VETERAN division in the space. This information is offered for the convenience of GITCA exhibitors.

Donate a Memento Trophy for a Specialty Win

 

If you have ever won a Trophy at a National Specialty Show you know what a thrill it is to take home a memento of that exciting day.  We have heard your cry for bigger and better trophies and have answered with some very exciting trophies this year, but bigger and better comes at a price, so we are asking everyone to sponsor a Memento Trophy.  Those lovely silver or pewter Challenge Trophies that you see on the trophy table have to be returned for the next Specialty.  Memento Trophies go home with the winner!  Any GITCA member can sponsor a Memento Trophy.  Memento Trophy sponsors will be acknowledged in the Specialty catalog.  Below is a list of the categories that are available for sponsorship.
